The countdown is on for the 2026 Old Settlers’ Day Parade & Festival, happening Saturday, September 26, 2026, in downtown Perkins, Oklahoma!
Presented by the Perkins Chamber of Commerce, this year’s theme is:
Home of the Original Cowboy
Old Settlers’ Day is a celebration of the history, people, businesses, families, and pioneer spirit that make Perkins special. This year’s theme also recognizes our community’s connection to legendary cowboy Frank “Pistol Pete” Eaton.
Whether you want to enter the parade, become a vendor, sponsor the event, or simply bring your family downtown for the festivities, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
What’s Happening at Old Settlers’ Day?
The festival opens at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Historical Parade at 10:00 a.m.
The day’s activities are planned to include:
- Historical Parade
- Local and regional vendors
- Food trucks
- Games for kids
- Bounce houses
- Music
- Dancing
- Cake walk
- And more family-friendly fun!
Come early, find your favorite spot downtown, visit our vendors, grab something to eat, and enjoy a Perkins tradition with friends and neighbors.
Join the Historical Parade!
We don’t just need people lining the streets — we need people IN the parade!
Registration is open for the 2026 Old Settlers’ Day Historical Parade, and we’re inviting businesses, churches, schools, clubs, organizations, families, community groups, equestrians, classic vehicles, tractors, and others to participate.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m.
This year’s Home of the Original Cowboy theme gives participants plenty of opportunities to get creative while celebrating Perkins history and community spirit.
Registered participants will receive additional information about check-in, staging locations, lineup assignments, and other event-day procedures prior to Old Settlers’ Day.

️ Vendor Registration Is Open!
Old Settlers’ Day wouldn’t be the same without a great collection of vendors, makers, organizations, and food trucks.
Artisan, Crafter, Commercial & Other Vendors
Perkins Chamber Members receive one booth space FREE!
There is a limit of one free booth space per Chamber member.
Additional and non-member booth spaces are $25 each.
Vendors must be completely set up and ready to serve by 8:00 a.m. and remain set up until 1:00 p.m.
Vendors may unload vehicles at their booth location but must promptly move vehicles off Main Street. Booth spaces will be marked, and vendors are asked to remain within their assigned area.
Food Trucks
Food truck registration is $50 per truck.
Food trucks must be completely set up and ready to serve by 8:00 a.m. and remain at the event until 1:30 p.m.
If a vendor or food truck cannot stay for the entire required period, please let us know when registering. We will try to accommodate special circumstances when possible, but accommodations cannot be guaranteed.
Vendor Registration Closes September 12!
All registered vendors will receive a confirmation email.
Before the event, vendors will also receive their assigned number and additional setup and event-day information, so be sure to watch your email!

Pistol Pete Parade Sponsor — $1,500
An exclusive parade-level sponsorship featuring prominent parade promotion, signage, social recognition, announcements, and featured parade placement.

A major community-event sponsorship with prominent recognition on event promotions, signage, social media, and announcements.

A great sponsorship opportunity for entertainment, stage activities, or a featured attraction, including event and social recognition.
Trail Boss Sponsor — $500
Perfect for supporting the kids area, games, inflatables, or another event activity, with signage and recognition included.
Saddle Up Sponsor — $250
A supporting business sponsorship that includes event signage and social media recognition.
Cowboy Legacy Sponsor — $100
Perfect for a parade award or trophy sponsorship, with sponsor recognition included.
❤️ Cowboy Friend Sponsor — $50
You don’t have to be a business to support Old Settlers’ Day!
Cowboy Friend Sponsors will have their name listed on the Community Supporters sign, be included in a group sponsor thank-you post, and be recognized as an official Old Settlers’ Day supporter.
A Cowboy Friend Sponsorship may also be given in honor or memory of someone, making this a special way to recognize someone with a connection to Perkins or Old Settlers’ Day.
